TSM top CCS Blue Group

Team SoloMid have qualified for the offline finals of the CS:GO Championship Series Kick-Off Season after topping the Blue Group with a 2-1 victory over fnatic.

Last week saw EnVyUs finish at the top of the Red Group (or Group A) following a 2-0 victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas, a result that earned the French side the very first place at the CCS offline finals, to be held at DreamHack Bucharest next month.

The first round of Blue Group matches met the expectations of most people as TSM moved past Natus Vincere and fnatic beat FlipSid3 Tactics, even though the ESL One Katowice champions, who were playing with Andreas "znajder" Lindberg as a stand-in, dropped the first map of the series.

With Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson back in the fold, fnatic were then surprised by the high level of play shown in the Upper Final by TSM, who relied on strong individual performances from René "cajunb" Borg, Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen and Nicolai "device" Reedtz.

Wednesday began with a thrilling contest between Na`Vi and fnatic in the consolidation final of the group, with the Swedish giants coming from behind to secure a 2-1 victory thanks to world-class displays from Jesper "JW" Wecksell and KRIMZ.

fnatic went on to meet TSM again in search for revenge, but the Danish team were once more the stronger of the two, this time following two 16-14 wins, first on de_inferno and then on de_cache, either side of a 16-8 victory by the Katowice champions on de_cobblestone.

As for fnatic, Na`Vi and FlipSid3 Tactics, they will meet NiP, Virtus.pro and PENTA Sports in the last-chance stage, in which the last two spots at the season finals will be up for grabs.
